The Great Outdoors
At ICC Wales we continually seek ways to minimise our impact and support local communities through green initiatives, waste reduction, and sustainable event practices.

When Others Say, We Do
We don’t just say we are committed to contributing positively to our environment, we take active steps in order to achieve this value. Our gardeners have planted over 15,000 trees in the Welsh woodland that surrounds ICC Wales, cocooning the center in a gorgeous carbon dioxide absorbing green bubble.
On top of this we’re completely plastic free and never claim we cannot do better. We are always looking at ways we can be more proactive and kinder to our environment, local and wider communities.
What We Do
Here are some other ways we help mitigate our effect on the great outdoors:
-
Incorporate energy-efficient technologies & materials, reducing our carbon footprint
-
Minimise waste through recycling programs & promote responsible waste disposal practices
-
Collaborate with event organisers to implement green event guidelines & sustainable practices.
-
Encourage the use of public transportation & carpooling by providing easy access to nearby transit options
-
Participate in community environmental initiatives, support local conservation projects & engage in partnerships with environmental organisations.
Recycling Centres
We have mini recycling centres in every corner at ICCWales. This ensures we capture, recycle and reuse as much as we can.
Plastic Free
It’s a given. ICC Wales is plastic free. 100%.
Tree Huggers
We’ve planted 15,000 additional trees in the Welsh woodland that surrounds ICCWales. The health benefits for our delegates are endless – so we’ve popped some ponder pods in the woodland too – all can be accessed by a walkway from ICCWales directly in to the woodland.
Locally Sourced & Seasonal
Wherever possible, we source local and seasonal to reduce the food miles in our meals.
