International Convention Centre Wales (ICC Wales) will be introduced to a UK and international audience when it attends International Confex for the first time later this month.
This will be the venue’s first major UK exhibition since opening last September, where it will exhibit on Stand AVG24 in the Association Village Green area.
The pioneering convention centre, which is flanked by ancient woodland, is already becoming known for its unique incorporation of the outdoors with stunning woodland views, natural daylight throughout the venue and outdoor meeting areas. With 2020 proclaimed the Year of the Outdoors in a campaign from Visit Wales, ICC Wales will be highlighting the benefits of nature for delegate wellbeing.
Danielle Bounds, Sales Director, ICC Wales, said: “We’re so passionate about our incredible new venue, every inch of which has been designed to create the best possible experience for event planners and delegates. As the first major venue of its size in Wales and the west of the UK, it is a real game changer for business events and we look forward to introducing many more members of the events industry to our amazing facilities at International Confex later this month.”
The state-of-the-art new venue has already hosted many prestigious events since it opened last September, from the three-day UK Space Conference for 2,100 delegates, to the two-day Green Party Conference for 750 delegates and An Experience with Arnold Schwarzenegger gala dinner for 1,300.
ICC Wales is a joint venture partnership between the Celtic Manor Resort and Welsh Government. Following two years of construction, ICC Wales opened to welcome its first conference on 13th September 2019. ICC Wales can accommodate more than 5,000 delegates and includes a 4,000sqm pillar-free main hall, a 1,500-seated auditorium, 15 flexible meeting rooms, a double-height glass atrium with views of the surrounding Coldra Woods and a 2,500sqm outdoor plaza.
